Level 3 Award Emergency Outdoor First Aid (RQF)
A highly interactive training course that provides delegates with the confidence and skills to provide assistance to someone injured or suddenly taken ill until the arrival of a qualified medical expert.
Who is it for?
This qualification is aimed those who may be required to provide First Aid in an outdoor environment where help may be up to 30 minutes away. Attendees are most commonly Outdoor Activity Instructors. The qualification meets the requirements for First Aid at Work as outlined in the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
How long does the Course take?
The course lasts 1 day but can be delivered flexibly to suit a range of different working patterns. Candidates are required to complete an assessment taking place in the afternoon of the course.

- Managing an incident in an outdoor environment
- CPR including modifications for child and drowning
- Burns and scalds
- Immersion in water
